It’s pretty amazing how quickly kids can grow up.  Just a year ago, I was fortunate to do a shoot with these amazing twins.   Now this summer, almost to the day, I had the honor of  another photo shoot.  These two are so polite, personable and so wonderful to be around.  What was even more incredible to watch is the kindness that they showed each other.  I know their parents are so proud of them.  Documenting life’s precious moments like these make me love my job even more.  I had to include one image from last year just to show you how much they have grown.  Wow!  A huge thank you to Todd and Tracy ~

A few weeks ago, I documented a special day for the Ortega family.  Let me say there is nothing more precious than to document a First Holy Communion.  It was a beautiful day for the Ortega family as they witnessed their first born receive the first holy sacrament.  Her day began at St. Anne’s Church in Detroit and closed with an amazing reception.  To say that the Ortega family went all out for this event is an understatement.  No detail was left undone.   The DJ played great music and the Mexican food was de-licious!   Everyone had a wonderful time.

I’ve known Nikki since she was just a little girl.  She was only 6 years old when I met her mom and dad, and if you think she’s cool you should meet her parents.  They are the the epitome of coolness.   I don’t want to get go off topic here (well maybe I do) her dad is a music aficionado and I love his taste in music as for her mom, well if you want some delicious cuisine, she is the expert.  My favorite is her Spanakopita (spinach pie). Amazing!

Back to Nikki (I digress) Nikki is now in high school and is still as cute as the first day I met her.  She is growing up into a lovely young lady.  She is looking forward to graduation (few years) and I promised her I’d shoot her senior photos.  Thanks Nikki for being you I’m looking forward to seeing you again soon.

How lucky am I to have spent a little time with these little ones.   These girls are not only cousins, but as you can see they are the best of friends.

Last weekend, I met up with Paul & Christa and their two beautiful daughers and handsome boy for a Sunday session at Heritage Park in Taylor.   The day was overcast, but nonetheless perfect! 

Paul and Christa, I don’t need to do any explaining you know I think the world of you.  Both of you are absolutely wonderful by yourself, but together with your family…well, you’re just fabulous!  

I’m already looking forward to our next session – thank you both for sharing the afternoon with me!

There is nothing more beautiful than to see (& feel) the bond of two sisters.  One word sums up this session: Amazing!  

This is why I LOVE photography, it records those special moments in time and I am so excited that I was the lucky girl to have been documenting it.  Thank you both!  I will always remember the fun we had, especially the park job – that was funny!! Why didn’t I take a picture of that?

I recently had a session with the Gonzalez family and it was all fun.  Daddy’s little boy and Mommy’s little angel was of course the star of the shoot.  And boy he is a star!  This little one was so energetic and I loved every minute of it.

Balloons, running, swinging, sliding, jumping and of course laughing was apart of this day at the park.  I’m so glad I was able to capture that sweet smile and personality!

The best part of this session was the singing!  Yep, I think he was completely impressed with my singing abilities…. “Itsy Bitsy Spider” was the song of the day and we sang it harmouniously (well we thought so).   Others in the park that may have not thought so, but we had fun.  By far this is one of my favorite sessions!! Thank you for allowing me to capture your beautiful family.

I was thrilled to be taking maternity photos for my best friend Tracey.  We have been friends since the 5th grade and she has never looked more beautiful. 

Luke Robert will have a big brother Cody and he is already looking forward to teaching little brother to skate board.
